Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a Cylinder Handler at our Austin, TX site. You will receive incoming gas cylinders, perform leak checks and prepare them for shipment according to strict ISO 9001/2015 procedures.

Daily inventory of Chemicals of Concern and documentation duties are essential aspects of the role. You will generate Certificates of Analysis, bar codes and shipping labels, and use computerized systems to track deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial environment (gas industry preferred).
• Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Available for on-call duties during weekends, after hours and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming gas cylinders and ship outgoing cylinders per customer orders and instructions.
• Perform leak checks, clean and prepare cylinders per ISO 9001/2015 procedures including painting and surface polishing of valves.
• Manage daily inventory of Chemicals of Concern with manual counts and required documentation.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis, bar codes, product labels, neck tags and other shipping documents.
• Use computerized management systems to record and track cylinder deliveries and stage cylinders for shipment.
• Conduct inventory audits at stocking and customer sites as needed.
• Handle administrative tasks including filing, email, database maintenance and use of handheld tracking devices.
• Maintain housekeeping and janitorial duties in stocking site area.

Job description

• Perform leak checks, clean, and prepare compressed gas cylinders following ISO 9001/2015 compliant procedures including painting and valve surface polishing
• Manage daily inventory of Chemicals of Concern with manual cylinder counts and required documentation
• You are going to generate Certificates of Analysis, bar codes, product labels, neck tags, and other shipping documents
• Utilize computerized management systems to record and track cylinder deliveries and stage cylinders for shipment
• You are expected to conduct inventory audits at stocking and customer sites as needed
• Handle administrative tasks including filing, email correspondence, database maintenance, and use of handheld tracking devices
• Maintain housekeeping and janitorial duties in the stocking site area

What makes you great

• You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bring at least two years of experience in an industrial environment; experience with industrial or specialty gases is preferred
