Job summary

Linde plc is seeking a delivery driver in the U.S. Northeast region to safely transport and unload gas cylinders, ensuring accurate delivery records and compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires CDL with Hazmat, 21+ years old, and demonstrated driving experience. You will perform pre-/post-trip inspections, handle paperwork, and operate forklift equipment in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years driving experience or completion of truck driver training similar to Linde's.
• No preventable accidents or major violations in past two years.
• Hazmat on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire.
• Valid Class A/B CDL required; DOT medical certificate.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑standard customer service while delivering and unloading/returning cylinders.
• Drive ~30% of the day; handle delivery, cylinder handling, paperwork, and inspections.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of product delivered and picked up.
• Complete Hazardous Material shipping papers per DOT/TC regulations.
• Placard vehicle per hazardous materials rules and Linde standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify maintenance needs.
• Operate forklift and other plant vehicles; load/unload weekly shuttle truck.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and document quantities in system for inventory control.
• Maintain quality control documentation per procedures.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will providea high standard of Customer Service while delivering, which includesunloading of products and movement to customer use point and reloading thereturned empty cylinders to the vehicle
• Drivingrepresents approximately 30 % of the day, the remaining portion of the dayincludes delivery, cylinder handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customercontact, vehicle AM and PM inspections
• Accuratelycounting and recording quantities and styles of product delivered andpicked up
• You will completeHazardous Material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT/TCRegulations
• Placardvehicle according to required hazardous material regulations and Lindestandards
• You will conductand report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identifyneed for vehicle repairs and/or maintenance and ensure it is accomplishedon time
• Processesmedical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelinesand procedures
• You will performvisual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determineswhether retesting and/or repairs are required
• You are responsible for checking for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and fill any necessaryproduct
• You will load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck
• Operatesand maintains cylinder scales and associated equipment
• Prepareswarehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and keysinto the computer the quantities, styles and products filled in order tojustify the stock inventory
• Completesand maintains quality control documentation as per company andGovernmental procedures
• You will operate a forklift truck and other plant vehicles

What makes you great

• You have a HighSchool Degree / G.E.D. is required
• Two (2) years driving experience or have completed a course of instruction from atruck driver training school that operates equipment similar to Linde's
• You have nopreventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations inthe past two (2) years
• You have noalcohol related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• Acurrent medical examiner’s certificate or the ability to pass a DOTphysical
• Validclass A/B CDL is required
• CurrentHazmat on CDL or ability to obtain Hazmat within 60 days of hire
• You have more than two (2+) years experience in plant or manufacturing environment preferred
• You can readand write in English
• You are 21years or older
