Job summary

Linde plc in Salt Lake City is seeking a hands-on technician to process gas cylinders and perform safety tests according to stringent guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, and a solid mechanical background. You will lead, solve problems, and maintain accurate quality records while handling forklift duties and pallet transfers on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Ability to lead, solve problems, communicate effectively and stay organized.

Responsibilities

• Process medical and industrial gas cylinders following established guidelines.
• Perform visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determine retesting/repairs.
• Check cylinder quantities, styles, and product; fill as needed.
• Load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck.
• Operate and maintain cylinder scales and related equipment.
• Prepare warehouse transfer orders and paperwork; enter quantities into computer to justify stock.
• Complete and maintain quality control documentation per procedures.
• Operate forklift and other plant vehicles.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will process medical and industrial gas cylinders using established plant guidelines and procedures
• Performs visual, physical and odor tests on cylinders before filling and determines whether retesting and/or repairs are required
• Checks for cylinder quantities, styles, and product, and fill any necessary product
• You will load and unload product from weekly shuttle truck
• Operates and maintains cylinder scales and associated equipment
• Prepares warehouse transfer orders and accompanying paperwork for shipment and keys into the computer the quantities, styles and products filled to justify the stock inventory
• You will complete and maintain quality control documentation as per company and Governmental procedures
• Operates a forklift truck and other plant vehicles
