HBL is looking for a Warehouse Operations Assistant who will provides the absolute best customer and administrative support in a fast-paced warehouse/office environment. This individual should understand office procedures, be very detailed, possess the ability to communicate effectively, be a problem-solver, and be able to multi-task throughout the day. They must maintain a helpful, professional relationship with customers, suppliers, drivers, co-workers, and seasonal workers.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the Operations Manager to assist in ensuring operations team meet current and future business requirements
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Inventory Specialist to ensure accuracy of inventory levels
  • Greet and provide necessary safety instructions to direct individuals such as drivers, vendors, and seasonal workers to the appropriate warehouse areas or personnel
  • Assist in the processing of customer pickups by notifying the warehouse team, processing payments and/or coordinating with the customer service team.
  • QC and process purchase orders, inventory transfers and inventory adjustments
  • Ensure pick tickets are moved from front office to warehouse for timely shipping
  • Assist in logistics and PO management
  • Coordinate and book domestic and international shipments by selecting appropriate carriers, preparing necessary shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival
  • Support the receiving process for incoming container shipments by coordinating schedules and verifying documentation
  • Manage and process returns by reviewing return requests, verifying product information, coordinating with internal departments and ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution of returned goods
  • May assist warehouse manager with appointments or other administrative projects as requested

Skills/Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business or related field and 6 months previous experience in an operations related role; or High School degree and 2 years previous experience in an operations related role
  • Skilled in office management or an administrative role
  • Experienced in tracking data
  • Dedication to providing great customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of customers, guests, vendors, and team members, both in written and verbal form
  • Experience with Sage and Excel preferred
  • Great time management, organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities while being committed to excellence
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
  • Robust computer skills with a high proficiency in Excel
  • Proven data entry skills
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn
