AV3, Inc. in Southern Maryland is seeking a Warehouse Operations and Logistics Manager to oversee daily facility operations, material distribution, inventory control, and shipping logistics, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate flow of goods for CONUS and OCONUS locations.

You will hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse personnel, monitor performance, analyze KPIs, manage the facility budget, negotiate carrier rates, and collaborate with the Supply Chain Director to align objectives

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 15 years of warehouse/logistics experience.
• Previous warehouse management experience.
• Must be eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch processes. Optimize floor layouts and space utilization.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring material readiness for CONUS and OCONUS locations.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse and logistics personnel. Monitor staff productivity and performance.
• Analyze operational metrics and KPIs (like pick accuracy and on-time delivery) to drive cost reduction and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate chain of custody, receiving, and storage records for government-furnished property according to regulations.
• Oversee the facility’s operational budget.
• Negotiate rates with freight carriers.
• Maintain open, continuous communication with the Supply Chain Director on all facility, operations, and staff updates.
• Provide executive-level mentorship and direction to the logistics and warehouse operations staff. Establish performance metrics, safety benchmarks, and resource schedules.
