Job summary

Tekni-Plex, Inc. in Decatur, IN is seeking a forklift operator to move raw materials, WIP and finished goods.

The role requires OSHA-certified forklift operation, attention to paperwork (sales orders, bills of lading, production schedules) and compliance with FIFO, safety and housekeeping. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation, collaborating with production and extrusion teams to maintain accurate inventories.

Qualifications

• Must be OSHA qualified to operate a forklift.
• Proficient with departmental paperwork including sales orders, bills of lading, and production schedules.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule.
• Ability to lift 25–80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and operates powered lift on a daily basis.
• Assembles & stages customer orders by pulling the proper product from inventory.
• Follows FIFO on all shipping, WIP, & FG processes
• Assists with the transferring of Finished Goods and/or Raw Material to and from outside warehousing.
• Assists with the training of department personnel.
• Completes required paperwork including sales orders, bills of lading, loading checklist, 24 Hour shipping log, trailer inspections, put away forms.
• Supports production and extrusion departments to improve efficiency.
• Maintains Finished Goods and Work in Process material organization.
• Participates in plant safety/housekeeping activities.
