Job summary

NFI Industries is seeking a Material Handler to move materials, supplies, and finished goods within the facility and onto trucks. The role supports warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate handling and may include general housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, picking and packing orders, labeling shipments, verifying freight accuracy, and supporting inventory processes with RF scanning.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs various material handling duties manually or using a hand truck within the facility
• Loads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as required
• Stacks skids or pallets in assigned storage or staging areas
• Loads and unloads freight in an efficient, safe, and accurate manner
• Picks and packs customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment
• Applies labels to shipments according to company and customer requirements
• Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations
• Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
• Provides cleaning and sanitation services as needed, including sweeping floors, cleaning office areas, and disposing of trash in designated containers or locations
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety standards
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management
