Job summary

The Waterfront Rescue Mission in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking a part-time Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. This role handles donations at intake, helps with loading/unloading trucks, and supports a clean, safe workplace.

You will work 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in a fast-paced thrift store warehouse environment. We value safety, teamwork, and excellent donor service as core priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in handling donations or customer service is a plus.
• Able to work in a part-time schedule (25 hours per week).
• Capable of lifting and moving items as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service while assisting customers and donors
• Accepts donations according to Waterfront Rescue Mission (WRM) guidelines
• Assist in loading/unloading Waterfront Rescue Mission trucks
• Practice a team approach for maximum productivity
• Ensure a clean/clutter free work environment at the end of shift
• Ensure quality control of incoming donations per WRM guidelines
• Follow all aspects of safety guidelines ensuring all issues are corrected or communicated to Management

The Waterfront Rescue Mission, recognized in 2025 as one of the Best Christian Workplaces in the country, is hiring positive, highly productive, safety-minded and team-oriented associates to join our team at the Waterfront Thrift Store in Fort Walton Beach, FL! We have a position open for a Warehouse Material Handler in our warehouse. This is a part time position working 25 hours per week receiving donations at the intake area. This position will also remove waste/recycled items and may process recyclables according to Waterfront Rescue Mission guidelines. Store hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm and closed on Sunday.
