Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Associate to prepare customer orders for shipping and assist production. You will build skids/boxes, operate saws and nail/staple guns, and ensure shipments comply with AMI procedures.

You must follow safety policies, perform quality inspections, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Forklift certification is preferred, and lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Commitment to teamwork and accurate records will support timely deliveries and high quality

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.
Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematics: Basic arithmetic and measurement.
Reasoning: Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
Physical: Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Certificates: Forklift Certification preferred.
Other Abilities: Ability to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

Prepares customer orders for shipping and assists production.
Builds skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
Operates crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
Follows packing, preservation, safety, and quality procedures.
Performs quality inspections to maintain 100% quality standards.
Maintains records and keeps work area clean.
Participates in safety and quality meetings.
