Job summary

AMI Metals, Inc. is hiring a Packer to prepare customer orders for shipping at our Fontana, CA facility. You will build skids or boxes, operate crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun, and banding equipment, and ensure shipments comply with AMI procedures.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift certification is preferred. Flexible hours and a team-oriented environment are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer orders for shipping.
• Build skids or boxes for packing and shipping of all orders.
• Operate crosscut saw, miter saw, nail gun, staple gun and banding equipment as needed.
• Follow AMI packing and preservation policies and procedures.
• Perform quality inspections on orders to maintain quality standards.
• Mark shipments and stencil shipping information as required.
• Provide maintenance and keep records of maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety policies.
• Participate in safety and quality meetings.
