Job summary

Gentex Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to move material in and out of the warehouse safely and efficiently. You will use the Gentex inventory and warehouse control system to pick, ship, receive, and transact inventory while operating material handling equipment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities include cycle counts, physical inventories, and supporting production as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing or material handling experience preferred.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain certification and operate all material handling equipment including industrial lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Pick and deliver material to manufacturing using the Gentex system.
• Perform receiving and shipping functions using the Gentex system.
• Handle inventory transactions: receipts, issues, put-aways, shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment to load/unload trucks and move material.
• Maintain area housekeeping and safety.
• Support team members and assist in production when needed.
• Perform periodic cycle counts and reconcile inventory variances.
• Conduct physical inventories as scheduled.
• Monitor metrics like inventory accuracy and shipping performance.
• Other duties as assigned.
