Job summary

nVent's Hitchcock, TX facility is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, inspect, and move materials, using forklifts and WMS to keep inventory accurate. You will prepare shipments, perform cycle counts, and help maintain safe, organised work areas in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have prior warehouse experience, can obtain forklift certification within a week, and are willing to OT as needed. The role supports our global supply chain with focus on on-time delivery and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling equipment.
• Proficient with forklifts, WMS, and stock audits.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 1 week to operate motorized equipment safely.
• Ability to work voluntary / mandatory overtime as business dictates.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal & written instructions provided by ECM training lead, department lead & department supervisor.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, work in varying temperatures, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
• Organize and store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring easy access and proper inventory control.
• Use material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors) to move materials within the warehouse or production area.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, following safety guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Prepare materials for shipment by packing, labeling, and ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, following all applicable safety regulations.
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to prioritize orders and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Assist in the unloading of incoming shipments and verify the quantity and condition of materials.
• Participate in cycle counts, stock rotations, and other inventory control activities.
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or damage to supervisors.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the logistics or warehouse manager.
