Job summary

nVent's Tempe Distribution Center is seeking a Logistics Material Handler I. In this role you will receive, organize, move, and ship materials to support customer orders and production operations.

You will work closely with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to maintain inventory flow and keep the facility running efficiently. The position is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail in a fast-paced distribution environment, with training provided for forklift operation and a schedule

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus; training provided if needed.
• Inventory and material handling experience, shipping/receiving documentation, and basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments by verifying packing lists and inspecting materials for accuracy.
• Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility to support shipping and operational needs.
• Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations to maintain material accuracy and accessibility.
• Distribute materials to shipping stations to ensure customer orders are processed on schedule.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
• Maintain outdoor pallet staging areas, waste collection areas, and overall warehouse housekeeping standards.
• Identify and communicate inventory, shipping, quality, or equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
• Support a safe work environment by following company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
