Position Description

We are immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Material Handler to support our facility at Ryder in Joliet, Illinois.

We seek the right Warehouse Associate to join Ryder and work in the safest supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One or more years of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator's license
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Dependable, punctual, with good attendance
• Ability to perform work independently with initiative and accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Work safely and flexibly across shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, auditing, staging, and loading/unloading
• Handle related paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading
• Support automated packing systems during production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned
