Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Material Handler at our Maple Grove Service Center in Maple Grove, MN, or Chestnut Service Center in Minneapolis, MN. The position starts at $28.91 per hour with a shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and will include unloading trucks, receiving stock and non-stock materials, and preparing items for field use.

Responsibilities include put-away, order filling, and material tracking in the database.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
CDL Class A preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Forklift operator certification preferred with experience.
SAP experience preferred.
Warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge of electric and gas materials preferred.
Must lift and carry 50 pounds, and work indoors/outdoors in dusty environments.
Able to work to heights up to 30 feet and work extended hours.
Willing to respond to after-hour emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

Receive materials, unload carrier trucks, and process stock and non-stock items.
Put away materials in assigned or random locations and stock the warehouse.
Fill orders and stage materials for field use and delivery.
Process shipping paperwork and returns, and maintain clean work areas.
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
