Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Material Handler at our Maple Grove or Minneapolis service centers. The role involves receiving, stocking, order filling, and material staging with emphasis on safe forklift operation and accurate data entry.

Minimums include a High School diploma or GED; CDL Class A preferred or obtainable within 6 months; SAP and warehouse experience are preferred; expect 7:00 am–3:30 pm shifts with potential overtime and after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification preferred or required.
• CDL Class A preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electric and gas materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive activities including unloading carrier trucks and receiving materials (stock & non-stock).
• Put away materials and stock in assigned and random locations; order filling.
• Physically fill material orders for field; stage and track materials in database; load/unload delivery trucks.
• Process required shipping paperwork and credits for returned materials; maintain clean work areas.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely; follow safety rules.
