Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Material Handler in Maple Grove, MN or Minneapolis, MN. Duties include unloading trucks, receiving and stocking materials, putting away items, and processing orders and shipments.

Role requires forklift operation, CDL class A preferred, SAP experience, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Work hours are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with safety rules and equipment training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A preferred or obtainable within 6 months.
• Forklift operator certification preferred; computer skills required.
• SAP experience preferred; warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electric and gas materials is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors in dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload carrier trucks; take stock and non-stock materials.
• Put away materials in assigned or random locations; fill orders.
• Physically stage and track materials in the database; load/unload delivery trucks.
• Process shipping paperwork and credits for materials returned from field.
• Maintain clean work areas; operate forklifts safely; comply with safety rules.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as necessary.
