Job summary

Becton Dickinson in Tucson, AZ is seeking a material handler to move materials, parts, and finished products using forklifts, conveyors, and handcarts within the plant, following SOPs and safety rules.

You will maintain clean shipping/receiving areas, ensure correct labeling, support basic process tasks, and coordinate with teammates while rotating shifts as needed; strong attention to quality and regulatory standards is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
• Forklift certification.
• Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Move materials, parts, and finished products within the Tucson plant.
• Receive at dock per SOP for carriers delivering finished goods, including unloading.
• Maintain cleanliness in shipping and receiving areas.
• Ensure correct labeling of products at receipt or processing.
• Develop skills in basic tasks within one skill area.
• Work within SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Notify Quality Representative and supervisor of quality problems.
• Maintain warehouse quality standards and report damages.
• Work safely following warehouse regulations.
• Coordinate work with teammates; demonstrate teamwork and core values.
• Operate RF handheld radios and computer systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and BD policies.
• Perform additional duties and rotate shifts as needed.
