Job summary

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in warehouse ops, knowledge of WMS/ERP, forklift certification, and a track record of building teams and optimizing space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
• Proven ability to implement inventory control, safety, and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
• Develop and implement warehouse procedures to optimize efficiency, safety, and inventory accuracy.
• Manage and mentor warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement to ensure timely material availability and minimize stockouts.
• Implement and maintain an inventory management system, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
• Optimize space utilization and layout to improve workflow and storage capacity.
• Manage relationships with logistics providers and negotiate terms for transportation and warehousing services.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and improve inventory control processes, safety protocols, and operational efficiencies.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Valid forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with automated warehouse systems (AS/RS, AGVs)
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish
• Project management experience, especially with WMS implementations
• OSHA 30-hour certification
