Job summary

Standard Electric Supply Co. is seeking a Warehouse Manager for the Milwaukee, WI facility. You will lead daily warehouse activities, ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipping, and supervise eleven associates to deliver outstanding service to customers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, safety focus, and proactive problem-solving skills, along with strong communication to support team growth and customer satisfaction. This role reports to the Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5 years of warehouse, distribution, leadership, and management experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; CDL not required.
• Able to lift 50 lb unassisted and 70 lb with assistance.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations.
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• RF barcoding experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a team of VMI Associates delivering inventory and replenishment services.
• Ensure VMI operations are efficient and customer-focused.
• Collaborate with Inventory Services Manager to ensure accuracy and timelines.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, train, and develop VMI Associates.
• Coordinate with HR on employee relations and performance management.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching and feedback.
• Contribute to departmental planning and budgeting for resources.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead our Milwaukee, WI operations. In this role, you will lead and support daily warehouse activity, ensuring products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently, while supervising, coaching, and developing a team of eleven warehouse associates. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who is dependable, safety‑focused, and a proactive problem solver, and who communicates well with team members and helps provide excellent service to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee a team of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Associates who support customer locations by managing inventory levels, replenishment activities, and product availability.
• Ensure VMI operations are executed efficiently and consistently, helping deliver exceptional service and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Partner with the Inventory Services Manager and other operational teams to ensure inventory accuracy and customer expectations are met.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies, investigate significant inventory adjustments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop Vendor Managed Inventory Associates while fostering a positive, accountable, and high‑performing team environment.
• Work closely with leadership and Human Resources to address employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary matters.
• Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and recognition to support associate growth and development.
• Contribute to departmental planning and budgeting activities, including identifying future staffing, equipment, facility, and resource needs.
• Support the development and execution of operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiency, service excellence, and business growth.

The compensation range for this position is $80,000-$82,000 per year. Please note that the compensation range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
