Job summary

Commercial Tire Inc in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead receiving, storage and distribution from the main warehouse, directing a team of warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.

The role focuses on safety, inventory management, process improvements, and coordinating with procurement and drivers to optimize routes and schedules. Full-time position with employee ownership benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Forklift certification required within 30 days of entry date.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
• Associates degree OR 4+ years warehouse/transportation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
• Plan, develop, or implement and ensure warehouse safety and security programs.
• Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order maintenance or replacements.
• Respond to customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
• Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
• Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and assign work.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with procurement on needs.
• Recommend more effective work patterns for drivers and stores.
• Ensure driver routes are most effective.
• Lead employee relations issues in the warehouse.
• Develop storage and distribution models to maximize efficiency or sustainability.
• Track and trace goods enroute and expedite orders when necessary.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
• Other duties as assigned.
