Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse, production, salvage, recycling, inventory, and Outlet operations, ensuring donated goods are processed and distributed efficiently to maximize value and support our retail operations.

You will build and develop a team, review daily budgets against actuals, adjust goals, manage inventory and vendor negotiations, and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills; ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable for performance, safety, and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, and donated goods processing operations; ability to manage product flow, quality, production goals, inventory, and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across teams; Spanish language abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse, production, dock, salvage, recycling, and Outlet operations to ensure donated goods are processed, distributed, and sold efficiently.
  • Drive production performance by reviewing daily budgets vs. actuals, adjusting goals, and identifying opportunities to maximize value of donated goods.
  • Manage inventory and product flow, including salvage shipments and vendor negotiations, while protecting inventory from loss and ensuring chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Develop and hold warehouse teams accountable through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management with safety as a priority.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient operation by enforcing regulations, overseeing equipment maintenance, and conducting safety training and inspections.
