Job summary

Häns Kissle is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the daily operations of a food manufacturing warehouse in Dallas, NC. This exempt role requires strong leadership and hands-on management of receiving, storage, rotation, and shipping to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, maintain ERP/WMS accuracy, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with Production, Quality Assurance and Purchasing to meet orders and reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years warehouse management experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.
  • Experience with ERP and WMS software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of materials and products.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as GMP, HACCP, and company GMP standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); conduct cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff; provide training on safety, food handling, and procedures.
  • Oversee proper storage and rotation (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to support continuous production and timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure sanitation and pest control procedures are followed in all storage areas.
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead regular safety inspections.
  • Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics with carriers and vendors.

Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse within a food manufacturing facility. This includes managing the receipt, storage, rotation, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines. The role is responsible for inventory accuracy, team leadership, warehouse efficiency, and maintaining a clean and food-safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of materials and products.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as FDA, USDA, and company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); conduct regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff; provide training on safety, food handling, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee proper storage and rotation of raw materials and finished goods (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to support continuous production and timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum degree and experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or perishable goods environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP and WMS software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Specific competencies required:

  • Strong organizational, analytical and communications skills
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and lean methods
  • Ability to be flexible to work any hours/shifts.
  • ERP experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite required
  • Food processing experience preferable
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train people
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions

Position offers a starting salary range of$80,400 - $130,100, with a target compensation of approximately $100,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
