Warehouse/Inventory Manager

Location: Chicagoland Area (relocation assistance provided)

The Warehouse/Inventory Manager oversees all warehouse and inventory operations, ensuring optimal use of personnel, equipment, and facilities. This role establishes procedures for shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining warehouse procedures and inventory control systems.
• Overseeing incoming/outgoing shipments, stock rotation, and FIFO systems.
• Supervising receiving, put-away, truck loading, and order picking.
• Managing daily inventory records and identifying overstock/out-of-stock conditions.
• Coordinating cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and reporting results.
• Ensuring warehouse cleanliness, safety practices, and equipment (e.g., forklifts) maintenance.
• Hiring, training, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring quality and compliance.
• Collaborating with departments like production, sales, and purchasing for workflow alignment.
• Supporting production with timely ingredient supply and product traceability.
• Reviewing internal controls and identifying inventory-related process improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant experience (including 2–4 years in supervision).
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience in high-volume distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken), Microsoft Office, and WMS (e.g., SAP).
• Ability to manage priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Understanding of general manufacturing operations.
• Strong business acumen and ethical leadership.
