Job summary

The Tile Shop in Town of Cheektowaga, NY is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee store warehouse operations, read orders, pick, pack, and ship, and maintain inventory accuracy. This role emphasizes coordination between distribution center and showroom, with hands-on lifting and forklift use as needed.

You will ensure accurate paperwork, cycle counts, proper labeling, and a clean, organized work area. Night and weekend shifts within a team rotation may be required; no direct personnel

Responsibilities

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to assemble orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete paperwork including shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, and UPS.
• Ensure inventory accuracy at all times and label orders clearly.
• Participate in cycle counting program.
• Load and unload customer vehicles and obtain signatures for load paperwork.
• Process incoming freight trucks promptly and safely.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment including forklifts.
• Record product receipts and distributions; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Enter records into computer; perform other duties as assigned.

Company Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for:

• Helping oversee the warehouse at the store itself.
• Preparing packing and shipping documents.
• Picking and staging outbound shipments.
• Ensuring inbound & outbound shipments are accurate & damage-free.
• Maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

This position does NOT manage personnel, only management of inventory and coordination between distribution center and Showroom. They must also have the ability to manually move and lift 50 to 100 lb. boxes of tile on a regular basis and have the flexibility to work nights and weekends within a team rotation.

Job Description

• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping order, or requisition to assemble customer orders from stock and place order on pallet or shelves.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Complete all paperwork pertaining to inventory, which includes shipping confirmations, receiving confirmations, purchase orders, open orders, order check-off, and UPS.
• Ensure complete accuracy of store inventory at all times.
• Label all orders and back stock clearly.
• Participate in the cycle counting program.
• Load and unload customer vehicles; ensure proper paperwork is completed and signed off by the customer after loading of product.
• Process incoming freight trucks in a timely manner.
• Proper use of equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, to move inventory.
• Inspect equipment to maintain good working order.
• Record amounts of product received and distributed.Accountable for overall cleanliness/organization of the warehouse.
• Enter records into computer.
• Other duties as assigned.
