Job summary

L.L. Vann Electric is seeking a motivated Warehouse Manager in Raleigh, NC to oversee daily operations and lead a small team. You will organize storage, manage inventory, and ensure safe material handling at jobsites.

Key duties include directing tasks for up to three staff, improving ordering processes, receiving and inspecting vendor deliveries, and maintaining tools and safety equipment. CDL and safety certifications are preferred, with a strong emphasis on reliability and hands-on leadership.

• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including bending, kneeling, standing for long periods, and lifting 50+ lbs independently

• Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of electrical tool/material knowledge
• CDL license preferred; must be willing to let CDL if not currently licensed
• Up-to-date safety certifications (forklift, excavator, rigging, CPR/First Aid) preferred
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other inventory management software

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain warehouse and outdoor storage areas in an efficient, orderly manner
• Plan, prioritize, and assign daily tasks for yourself and up to three team members
• Directly manage and support warehouse staff
• Maintain and improve current material ordering and delivery processes
• Receive, inspect, and document vendor material deliveries
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, focusing on reducing excess inventory through efficient field fulfillment
• Receive, test, store, and track company tools in an organized system
• Assist team members with assigned tasks as needed
• Handle and transport materials and tools safely
• Deliver materials to jobsites in a safe and organized manner
• Inventory, maintain, and distribute safety equipment (harnesses, CAL suits, PPE, etc.)
• Monitor locally stored electrical materials and proactively reorder as needed
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of jobsites, including storage containers, tools, materials, and job trailers
