Job summary

Souto Foods is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for Port St. Lucie, FL. You will lead planning, shipping/receiving oversight, and WMS deployment to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years progressive warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, and knowledge of logistics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee warehouse projects of varying scale (shipping/receiving).
• Collaborate to drive WMS implementation and support.
• Coordinate inventory control, receiving, storage, shipping, and sanitation.
• Assist in labor-budget formulation and input for capital budgets.
• Help establish warehouse procedures, layouts, and equipment standards.
• Work with category managers, sales reps, and customers to ensure quality.
• Partner with MDI to ensure regulatory compliance and SQF/food safety plans.
• Coordinate and participate in special projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends for supply chain management.
• Identify new methods/policies to improve operations.
• Work with IT leadership on systems to improve performance.
• Provide staffing direction with HR for efficiency and productivity.
• Formulate and execute warehouse strategies aligned with metrics.
• Build and mentor a team aligned with the mission.
• Create a safe work environment through training and engagement.
• Work with HR on career development and cross-training.

Overview

Major Functions:

Location: Port St. Lucie, FL

Direct and assist in planning of all warehouse activity to meet company, customer, state, and federal standards. Ensures the accuracy and quality of work meets Souto Foods’ high standards and is a strategic strength for future growth. Direct and assist in planning of all warehouse activity to meet company, customer, state, and federal standards.

Ensures the accuracy and quality of work meets Import Mex’s high standards and is a strategic strength for future growth.

Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for planning and oversight of small, medium, and large-scale projects involving both shipping and receiving of product
• 2. Collaborates with relevant business personnel to drive implementation and support for warehouse management system (WMS)
• 3. Coordinates general warehouse activities including inventory control, receiving, storage, shipping, and sanitation
• 4. Assists in formulating the labor budget for all department activities, provides input for the capital budget process
• 5. Provides input in establishing warehouse procedures, layouts and equipment requirements and standards
• 6. Works with category manager, sales reps and customers to ensure quality and standards are met.
• 7. Partners with MDI (Parent Company) to ensure compliance to meet all regulatory and customer requirements that support Food Safety and Quality plans by allocating resources for continually improving the SQF system
• 8. Coordinates and participates in special projects as assigned by leadership
• 9. Stays abreast of industry and professional trends for continuous supply chain management
• 10. Directs and assists in the identification of new methods and/or policies to improve operations
• 11. Works in conjunction with IT leadership in the development of systems to improve and measure performance and efficiencies
• 12. Provides direction in staffing with human resources to maximize efficiency and productivity through selection and training
• 13. Formulates and executes warehouse strategies that align with corporate strategies and metrics
• 14. Builds and mentors a team of employees that are aware of and support the overall mission
• 15. Creates a safe work environment through training, positive reinforcement, and employee engagement
• 16. Works with Human Resources on career development and cross-training opportunities for warehouse personnel
