Job summary

Souto Foods in Port St. Lucie, FL seeks a seasoned Warehouse Manager to lead planning and oversight of all warehouse activity, ensuring compliance with company, customer, state, and federal standards.

You will drive WMS implementations, manage inventories, budgets, staffing, and continuous improvement projects, aligning with Food Safety and Quality plans and coordinating with the parent company for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual requirement in English/Spanish.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive warehouse management experience.
• Strong communication, analytical skills, and logistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee small, medium, and large-scale warehouse projects (shipping/receiving).
• Collaborate with business personnel to drive WMS implementation and support.
• Coordinate inventory control, receiving, storage, and shipping activities.
• Assist in budgeting for Labor and department needs; input for capex planning.
• Contribute to establishing warehouse procedures, layouts, and equipment standards.
• Work with category managers, sales reps, and customers to ensure quality standards.
• Coordinate with the parent company to meet regulatory and customer requirements for SQF.
• Lead and participate in special projects assigned by leadership.
• Stay informed on industry trends for continuous supply chain management.
• Identify new methods/policies to improve operations.
• Partner with IT leadership to develop systems for performance measurement.
• Oversee staffing with HR to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Formulate and execute warehouse strategies aligned with corporate metrics.
• Build and mentor a team aware of and supporting the company mission.
• Create a safe work environment through training and engagement.

Major Functions:

Direct and assist in planning of all warehouse activity to meet company, customer, state, and federal standards. Ensures the accuracy and quality of work meets Souto Foods’ high standards and is a strategic strength for future growth. Responsibilities

• 1. Responsible for planning and oversight of small, medium, and large-scale projects involving both shipping and receiving of product
• 2. Collaborates with relevant business personnel to drive implementation and support for warehouse management system (WMS)
• 3. Coordinates general warehouse activities including inventory control, receiving, storage, shipping, and sanitation
• 4. Assists in formulating the labor budget for all department activities, provides input for the capital budget process
• 5. Provides input in establishing warehouse procedures, layouts and equipment requirements and standards
• 6. Works with category manager, sales reps and customers to ensure quality and standards are met.
• 7. Partners with MDI (Parent Company) to ensure compliance to meet all regulatory and customer requirements that support Food Safety and Quality plans by allocating resources for continually improving the SQF system
• 8. Coordinates and participates in special projects as assigned by leadership
• 9. Stays abreast of industry and professional trends for continuous supply chain management
• 10. Directs and assists in the identification of new methods and/or policies to improve operations
• 11. Works in conjunction with IT leadership in the development of systems to improve and measure performance and efficiencies
• 12. Provides direction in staffing with human resources to maximize efficiency and productivity through selection and training
• 13. Formulates and executes warehouse strategies that align with corporate strategies and metrics
• 14. Builds and mentors a team of employees that are aware of and support the overall mission
• 15. Creates a safe work environment through training, positive reinforcement, and employee engagement
• 16. Works with Human Resources on career development and cross-training opportunities for warehouse personnel

Qualifications
