Job summary

Star Lumber in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance activities. You will drive safe, efficient operations in line with company policy, manage staff performance, and ensure accurate records and reports.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in warehouse management, strong inventory controls, KPI knowledge, OSHA understanding, forklift operation and a valid driver's license. Bilingual and DOT knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory controls.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing KPIs.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify process breakdowns.
  • Proficient with computer and software incl. Microsoft Office; ability to learn internal software.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of OSHA standards.
  • Ability to operate forklift.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
  • DOT knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of fleet condition and location.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, select, orient, train, coach, and motivate employees.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments regarding inventory, scheduling, and dispatch.
  • In collaboration with leadership, set warehouse and team goals.

Requirements

  • Understanding of OSHA standards
  • Ability to operate forklift effectively
