Job summary

ProspectBlue is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations in Dinwiddie, VA. You will lead inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and a high-performing team to ensure efficient, accurate fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse operations in fast-paced distribution or logistics.
• Familiar with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or Kaizen methodologies.
• Proficient with WMS and ERP; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, pick/pack, dispatch and returns.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma/5S/Kaizen to cut waste and raise throughput.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for consistency and compliance across activities.
• Optimize layout and flow to maximize space and performance.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and audits.
• Manage stock replenishment and obsolete items with procurement.
• Foster a safety-first culture with audits and incident investigations.
• Coach and develop a high-performing warehouse team and schedule staff.
• Track KPIs such as throughput, accuracy, on-time dispatch, cost per unit.
• Manage the warehouse budget and identify cost savings without sacrificing service.

We're looking for a Warehouse Manager to lead all aspects of our warehouse operations — inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and team leadership — with a strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end warehouse operations: receiving, storage, pick/pack, dispatch, and returns


• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughput


• Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance across warehouse activities


• Optimize warehouse layout and flow to maximize space and performance


• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and root cause analysis


• Manage stock replenishment and slow-moving/obsolete inventory in coordination with procurement


• Champion a safety-first culture, including audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations


• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing warehouse team, including scheduling and workforce planning


• Track and report on KPIs like throughput, accuracy, on-time dispatch, and cost per unit


• Manage warehouse budget and identify cost savings without compromising service

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment


• Experience with Operational Excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen); certification a plus


• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office; ERP experience preferred


• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field — equivalent experience considered
