Tom Trese Networking LLC in Lima, OH is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the site warehouse on the first shift, with direct and indirect reports. You will oversee daily operations, safety programs for chemical/HAZMAT, and strive for efficiency.

You will partner with the VP of Operations, manage costs, advance customer satisfaction, and develop staff to reduce turnover while maintaining ISO/QMS standards where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT materials.
• Supervision experience in non-union environments.
• Experience working with an ERP or WMS system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure alignment with performance goals and customer expectations.
• Develop and implement hazardous materials management programs and safety protocols.
• Monitor costs, optimize labor utilization, and propose capital expenditures for facilities or equipment upgrades.
• Maintain QMS compliance to ISO standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and develop staff to ensure stability and minimize turnover.
• Serve as primary contact for customer issues and support business development efforts.

Established, privately held logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the site warehouse for a first-shift operation, with direct and indirect reports. As the Warehouse Manager, you will report to the VP of Operations and oversee a team of up to 15 people. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operations and overall conditions of assigned warehouses to ensure results align with company performance goals and customer expectations.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Develops and implements hazardous materials management programs, safety protocols, and health programs (such as Spills Response and Chemical Hygiene) to meet legal mandates.
• Financial Management: Monitors cost controls to achieve financial targets, manages labor utilization to minimize costs, and prepares capital expenditure proposals to upgrade facilities or equipment.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains and audits Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ISO standards while instilling a continuous improvement approach across all warehouse functions.
• Team Leadership & Coaching: Conducts performance appraisals, develops succession plans, and provides professional leadership to foster a stable work environment and minimize employee turnover.
• Customer & Business Development: Acts as the primary point of contact for customer issues and assists with business development initiatives, including contract negotiations and customer visits.
• Facility & Asset Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of facilities and equipment, identifying when assets are obsolete or require remodeling based on operational needs.

Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment while holding others accountable, be professional, and able to handle pressure while finding ways to make processes better. Although more initially, individuals should enjoy spending up to 50% of their time on the floor, supporting a first shift operation.

REQUIREMENTS for the Warehouse Manager:

• 1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
• 2. Minimum of 2-5 years of similar warehouse management experience
• 3. Experience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT-related materials
• 4. Supervision experience in non-union work environments
• 5. Experience working with an ERP or WMS system
• 6. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:

• 1. Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
• 2. Knowledge of QMS systems, specifically ISO, would be ideal
• 3. Sara reporting
• 4. Strong safety and quality background
• 5. Budget or P&L management
• 6. 3PL experience
