Job summary

MJ Recruiters, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the site warehouse on a first shift. You will report to the VP of Operations and supervise up to 15 direct/indirect reports, ensuring safe, efficient operations and alignment with goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on floor presence up to 50% of the time, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a multi-industry supplier environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of warehouse management experience.
• Experience with warehousing chemical and HAZMAT materials.
• Supervision experience in non-union environments.
• Experience with ERP or WMS systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations to meet goals and customer expectations.
• Implement safety programs and regulatory compliance measures.
• Monitor costs, labor utilization, and capital expenditure proposals.
• Maintain ISO QMS compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach, and appraise performance of up to 15 staff.
• Serve as primary contact for customers and support business development.
• Oversee facility and asset maintenance and plan for renovations.

Established, privately held logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead the site warehouse for a first-shift operation, with direct and indirect reports. As the Warehouse Manager, you will report to the VP of Operations and oversee a team of up to 15 people. Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Operational Oversight: Manages the daily operations and overall conditions of assigned warehouses to ensure results align with company performance goals and customer expectations.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Develops and implements hazardous materials management programs, safety protocols, and health programs (such as Spills Response and Chemical Hygiene) to meet legal mandates.
• Financial Management: Monitors cost controls to achieve financial targets, manages labor utilization to minimize costs, and prepares capital expenditure proposals to upgrade facilities or equipment.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Maintains and audits Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ISO standards while instilling a continuous improvement approach across all warehouse functions.
• Team Leadership & Coaching: Conducts performance appraisals, develops succession plans, and provides professional leadership to foster a stable work environment and minimize employee turnover.
• Customer & Business Development: Acts as the primary point of contact for customer issues and assists with business development initiatives, including contract negotiations and customer visits.
• Facility & Asset Maintenance: Oversees the maintenance of facilities and equipment, identifying when assets are obsolete or require remodeling based on operational needs.

Although more initially, individuals should enjoy spending up to 50% of their time on the floor, supporting a first shift operation.

REQUIREMENTS for the Warehouse Manager:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 2-5 years of similar warehouse management experience
• Experience in warehousing chemical and HAZMAT-related materials
• Supervision experience in non-union work environments
• Experience working with an ERP or WMS system
• Microsoft Office, specifically Excel

Skills preferred but NOT required:

• Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports
• Knowledge of QMS systems, specifically ISO, would be ideal
• Sara reporting
• Strong safety and quality background
• Budget or P&L management
• 3PL experience
