Job Responsibilities:
We’re seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at our Houston manufacturing facility. In this role, you’ll oversee all warehouse operations for both the manufacturing facility and an off-site warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods while supporting production and customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling activities for the Houston manufacturing facility and off-site warehouse.
- Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety standards while promoting continuous improvement in warehouse safety performance.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 6+ warehouse employees, fostering accountability, engagement, and high performance.
- Manage inventory accuracy through effective cycle count programs, physical inventories, and strong warehouse controls.
- Drive SAP transactional accuracy to ensure inventory integrity, on‑time shipments, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Maintain FIFO inventory practices while managing obsolete inventory and material disposition processes.
- Partner with Operations, Production Planning, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Logistics to support manufacturing schedules and customer commitments.
- Monitor freight carrier performance and support transportation and logistics activities to improve service and efficiency.
- Utilize warehouse KPIs to drive operational improvements, including inventory accuracy, days on hand, on‑time shipping, cycle count performance, and warehouse productivity.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory control, safety, and customer service.
- Coordinate warehouse maintenance activities and proactively identify facility and equipment needs to support business operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- Three (3) or more years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, batch manufacturing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading inventory control processes, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Experience with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals, and bulk liquid and dry material handling.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and logistics.
- Experience developing and leading warehouse teams with a focus on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to utilize data to drive operational decisions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and with co‑leaders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives within warehouse operations is preferred.
