Job summary

American Food & Vending in Houston seeks a Warehouse Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety.

You will manage supervisors and staff, optimize inventory control, forecast demand with senior leadership, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement to support service delivery across our nationwide dining and refreshment programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership in warehouse/distribution management.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, logistics, and safety compliance.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and implement process improvements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution.
• Lead and develop warehouse supervisors and associates, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, policies, and food handling standards.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement processes to reduce discrepancies and improve efficiency.

• Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet timelines.
• Serve as primary contact for escalated issues and resolve operational challenges.
• May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

The Warehouse Manager at American Food & Vending provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety standards. This role is responsible for managing supervisors and associates, optimizing inventory control, and driving continuous improvement to support company goals and exceptional service delivery.

• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and implement process improvements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment; willingness to travel occasionally if required.
