Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager in Fredericksburg, VA to oversee all warehouse operations, ensure efficient storage and handling of goods, and lead a team to meet delivery targets. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in warehouse management, forklift certification, and knowledge of warehouse safety, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse management role.
  • Experience in material handling, forklift operation, shipping & receiving, delivery scheduling, cycle counting, order picking, loading & unloading.
  • Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Forklift operation certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe storage of goods and handling of all warehouse materials.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Manage delivery scheduling to optimize delivery times and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Supervise order picking processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee loading and unloading processes, ensuring safety standards are upheld.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Implement and uphold warehouse policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to optimize operations and meet business objectives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in forklift operation is highly desirable.
