About the Role

LaGrasso Bros. Produce is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations at our Detroit facility. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong warehouse leadership experience, a solid understanding of inventory control, and previous experience working with produce or other perishable food products.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, loading, and order fulfillment
• Manage, train, schedule, and support warehouse team members
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management processes
• Ensure proper product rotation, handling, and storage within a refrigerated environment
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, quality, and workplace safety standards
• Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, sales, and transportation teams to support timely deliveries
• Monitor warehouse workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse management or warehouse supervisory experience required
• Prior produce experience required
• Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and warehouse operations
• Experience working in foodservice, distribution, refrigerated warehousing, or perishable goods preferred
• Forklift operation experience required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with a team and lead by example
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a related field preferred
