Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for operations within Rhinegeist’s multiple warehouse locations. Working with various departments coordinating shipments both internally and externally while monitoring warehouse operations performance and forecasting future needs. Overseeing proper warehousing practices of FIFO and safety protocols while continuing to lead their team efficiently and effectively for all daily goals. They are the go to person for all inquiries in the warehouse operations.

Essential Functions:

• Plan, develop and implement warehouse strategies and initiatives.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs related to warehousing across the company.
• Act as site manager for Warehouse locations addressing maintenance and overall upkeep of the facilities. Responding to unplanned and urgent instances requiring leadership response to maintenance, safety and security issues while working with internal partners.
• Work closely with internal partners on warehousing building and spatial needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and warehousing regulations and laws.
• Develop and coordinate safety training programs related to warehousing, warehouse locations, and forklifts by collaborating with the Safety Coordinator.
• Forecast Rhinegeist warehouse needs and modify plans based on current data and trends. Lead and collaborate with stakeholders and necessary teams to address those needs.
• Collaborate with departments, vendors, partners and customers to coordinate and communicate warehousing services as needed to meet Rhinegeist business demands, weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Collaborate with other departments and vendors to coordinate and communicate warehousing and shipping/receiving for services and needs as well as coordinating logistics.
• Correspondence with external Sales and Distributors when applicable.
• Manage warehouse general budget working with internal partners to plan and manage accordingly.
• Develop and implement performance metrics for the company’s warehouse functions.
• Develop, monitor, analyze and forecast the warehouse program, services, and metrics for performance and adjustments needed.
• Oversee multiple shifts of operations in the shipping and receiving area of all warehoused goods and materials.
• Manage Inventory Controllers at various Warehouse locations and support as needed ensuring consistent inventory control levels. Collaborating with internal partners on logistics and inventory related to sales and production operations at the brewery.
• Track and maintain Distributor returns and also oversee all transfers, both internally and externally.
• Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff including daily, weekly, and/or monthly update meetings.
• Complete interviews, hirings and all performance and disciplinary actions for the entire department with support from Team Leads.
• Maintain positive working relationships with personnel and with corresponding departments.

• Previous personnel management experience
• Ability to learn Training Programs to advance the department
