Job summary

Truly Good Foods is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations in Atlanta. You will manage shipments, returns, transfers, and direct reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the unit.

You will lead safety initiatives, coordinate with production and sales, and drive customer service excellence for internal and external stakeholders. This role requires hands-on leadership in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or 4–5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents; safety and quality procedures.
• Must be able to operate pallet jack or forklift and obtain certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Establish procedures for receiving, verification, handling, and disposition of materials to keep inventory current.
• Maintain high accuracy levels in day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Lead and develop warehouse, shipping and receiving and driver teams; provide excellent customer service.
• Coordinate with production, sales, records control and purchasing for smooth warehouse flow.
• Assist inventory cycle counts and approve related payments as needed.

Description

The Warehouse Manager oversees daily operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers. Manages activities of direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Job Duties

• Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations.
• Lead and develop the warehouse, shipping and receiving and driver teams.Provide impeccable customer service to our internal and external customers.
• Confer with operation centers to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
• Assist in the inventory cycle process when needed.
• Approve payment of bills, such as freight for Accounts Payable.
• Direct salvage of damaged or used material.
• Become a member of the Safety Committee.
• Lead the safety awareness program in the warehouse.
• Lead and/or assist in the various safety training programs.

Scope of Responsibility

• This job will have periodic access to confidential data including wages and salaries, financial statements, and product costs.
• Supervises employees working in the warehouse. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• This job works under only general instructions and is expected to accomplish work assignments with a limited amount of supervision.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and understand English.
• Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Computer Skills: Ability to use computers, intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Software.

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or up to 100 with assistance of other employees or special equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment and disruptions occur frequently.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Tools, Equipment, and Machinery

• Must have ability to operate pallet jack, forklift or similar machinery, tools, and equipment, as needed, in order to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to be certified within 90 days.
