Warehouse Manager

Stinger is expanding its distribution footprint! We are seeking a Warehouse Manager for our new Alpharetta, GA location. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate well versed in the setup and management of all aspects of a distribution warehouse.

This position reports directly to the Director of Distribution and is a key member of the warehouse and production staff. This is a hands-on role that oversees the shipping and receiving department of the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager organizes and monitors the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items received at Stinger’s Georgia warehouse location. This role is a driving force that creates and maintains a more efficient operation through implementation of process improvements for all warehouse functions. Works within the company guidelines to support key performance metrics related to on-time delivery, inventory accuracy & labor utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and assist all shipping and receiving activities for the warehouse.
• Maintain physical condition of the warehouse through effective planning and positive implementation of new approved layouts; inspect all existing equipment and issue requests for any needed replacements.
• Manage and conduct inventory cycle counts.
• Provide appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safety of employees and product.
• Ensure consistent operation of the warehouse so products are located and distributed to internal and external consumers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform administrative duties as needed, including employee timecard submission, employee relations issues, new hire orientation, and managing temporary staffing agency relations.

Requirements:

• Must be highly self-motivated and capable of effectively motivating others.
• Run the shipping system, pick, and pack orders.
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, and distribution required.
• Superior organizational, mechanical, and critical-thinking abilities are required.
• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations.
• Must have sufficient computer skills required to manage and operate all relevant systems.
• This position must be accurate and meticulous regarding product details.
• Detail-oriented project management skills.
• Must be familiar with operating and training on WMS.
• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
• Results-driven professional that has the ability to hold project teams accountable for both quality and timelines.

Required Education and Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience in managing or assisting the management of a warehouse.
• Previous experience with production management is preferred but not required.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position manages the GA warehouse staff, including temporary employees.

Environmental/Physical Requirements:

• May sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, and lifting on a daily basis.
• Operating computer, telephone, voicemail, and other office equipment regularly.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Forklift and Order picker certification required.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hours – Full Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (60-minute lunch), Monday – Friday

Travel: Travel to other distribution facilities for training required.
