Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Etna, Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to guide daily operations in a fast-paced distribution center. You will supervise a team, coordinate tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency across receiving, put-away, picking, packing and shipping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year lead experience preferred in a warehouse.
• 1+ year warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner experience required or advanced knowledge.
• Valid forklift operator's license/certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive continuous improvement for efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing and shipping.
• Allocate resources and assign daily work to team members.
• Inspire staff toward KPI improvement using effective leadership.
• Provide orientation and tools needed to perform jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.

• Complete daily reports and propose actions to improve operations.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $18.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $27.00 per hour when working overtime
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or until completion

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI's) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
