Job summary

Americold is seeking a warehouse maintenance technician to support routine repairs and preventive maintenance across loading docks, racks, and equipment. You will perform mechanical adjustments, test safety systems, and keep maintenance records to ensure safe operations.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, high school diploma or GED, and willingness to participate in training. Ability to work in varied temperatures and physical conditions is essential. Eligible benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude required.
• Mathematical and documentation skills required.
• Basic computer skills including email, internet searches, and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic repairs and adjustments to warehouse equipment and infrastructure including doors, dock levelers, pallet racks, sweepers, sprinkler systems, forklifts, and pallet trucks in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Participate in all assigned training sessions as directed.
• Clean, change, and lubricate bearings, gears, and other machinery parts using appropriate tools.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and shop areas in clean and operational condition.
• Conduct tests of safety equipment such as exit signs, fire extinguishers, and sprinkler systems to ensure OSHA and operational standards are met.
• Maintain batteries and chargers in working order and keep accurate preventive maintenance records.
• Perform housekeeping duties and assist with answering security alarm calls as needed.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
