Job summary

Americold is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance role to assist with routine repairs across the warehouse including doors, dock levelers, racks, and safety systems. You will perform tests, maintain records, and support housekeeping tasks to keep operations safe and efficient.

The position requires basic mechanical knowledge, a GED or high school diploma, and the ability to work with hand and power tools. Training and on-call shifts may be involved, with strong emphasis on OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude required.
• Mathematical and documentation skills required.
• Basic computer skills including email, internet searches, and data entry.
• May be expected to participate in HAZMAT responder training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic repairs and adjustments to warehouse equipment and infrastructure including doors, dock levelers, pallet racks, sweepers, sprinkler systems, forklifts, and pallet trucks.
• Participate in all assigned training sessions as directed.
• Clean, change, and lubricate bearings, gears, and other machinery parts using appropriate tools.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and shop areas in clean and operational condition.
• Conduct tests of safety equipment to ensure OSHA and operational standards are met.
• Maintain batteries and chargers in working order and keep accurate preventive maintenance records.
• Perform housekeeping duties and assist with security alarm calls as needed.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
