Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance I to maintain, repair, and optimize material handling equipment in our distribution center. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safety standards are met while supporting facility systems.

The role requires experience with forklifts and related equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Basic computer skills with MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.

Responsibilities

Inspect and diagnose faults or malfunctions in material handling equipment to identify root causes.
Repair or replace defective parts; assemble or disassemble equipment for servicing and return to service.
Perform regular preventive maintenance, including lubrication, and component checks.
Assist with DC maintenance requirements such as refrigeration systems, plumbing, building lighting, welding, dock doors, air systems, racking, tote washer, and air spray painting.
Perform inspections and cleaning; do specific gravity checks; evaluate cable serviceability and repair damage.
Develop a working knowledge of the McLane Maintenance Connection database.
