Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Maintenance I in New Jersey. The role is an entry-level training and development position in a fast-paced DC environment, focusing on troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of material handling equipment and facility systems.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
At least 1 year of professional experience in industrial maintenance.
At least 1 year of maintenance experience with material handling equipment.
Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
Experience with distribution center industrial equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, tuggers, and carts.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Basic computer skills with maintenance databases MP2, DataStream 7i, or Maintenance Connection.
Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

Ensure spare parts usage, inventory and work orders are tracked and documented per policy.
Assist with DC maintenance such as refrigeration, plumbing, lighting, welding, doors, air systems, racking, and painting.
Maximize battery availability by managing charging cycles and rotation.
Perform inspections and cleaning; conduct specific gravity checks and cable assessments.
Develop knowledge of McLane Maintenance Connection database.
Other duties may be assigned.
