Job summary

OC Animal Care is seeking a dedicated Facility Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, maintenance of shelter facilities, and warehouse storage management. You will assist with cleaning, minor repairs, and the handling of pallets and donations to keep facilities safe and welcoming for animals, staff, and the public.

The role requires comfort around animals, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work independently or with a team as needed.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and basic clerical tasks preferred.
• Experience in inventory record keeping and warehouse organization.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools for maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the facility and grounds of the animal shelter.
• Clean public areas and assist with sanitation and grounds upkeep.
• Load/unload supplies using electric pallet equipment and organize pallets.
• Provide logistical support for outreach events and stock/purchase supplies.
• Identify and source necessary maintenance materials and supplies.
