Job summary

Ryder in Lockbourne, Ohio is seeking a Warehouse Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on warehousing equipment.

The role requires high school diploma and 8–10 years of maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repairs, plus forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8–10 years plant/warehouse maintenance experience including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting.
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions representing customer and Ryder.
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Experience operating forklift equipment required.
• Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting on all warehousing equipment independently and effectively.
• Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
• Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
• Performs routine forklift repairs.
• Maintains batteries and related equipment.
• Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
• If required, provides training on safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed.
