Job summary

Terzo Enterprises is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to support our pallet refurbishment operations in Houston. You will diagnose and repair a broad range of equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and keep detailed repair logs.

The role requires hands-on abilities with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, forklift safety, and adherence to OSHA/MSDS standards. Indoor, year-round work with overtime as needed; comprehensive benefits upon hire.

Qualifications

• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting knowledge; welding, machining, metal fabrication, and plumbing.
• Frequently move, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, drawings, and manuals.
• Diagnose, repair, and install equipment from low DC voltage to 480V AC high voltage circuits and motor controls.
• Ensure forklifts and yard hostlers are safe to operate.
• Provide tools and instruments to independently perform tasks.
• Perform repairs on conveyors, rollers, turn tables, paint sprayers, and other warehouse equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines.
• Maintain daily repair logs and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards and safety policies.

What will you do?

Under general supervision, set up, adjust, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install a range of equipment from low DC voltage to 120v – 480v AC high voltage circuits, motor controls, control logic, make minor program changes on VFDs, and troubleshoot by power wiring.
• Must be able to troubleshoot 3-phase motors and gearboxes. Understanding about sprockets and chains.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and ensure the safe operational status of all forklifts and yard hostlers.
• Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform any tasks at hand.
• Perform all repairs on belt conveyors, roller conveyors, turn tables, and paint sprayers both airless and diaphragm pumps, Inspect/replace belts, hoses, and pipes as needed and other warehouse power equipment to ensure availability and safe operation.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all machines and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
• Must maintain a daily work log on repairs on all equipment.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, overall cleanliness, and organization of the maintenance cage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Understand levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause.
• Assist in the inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment
• Adhering to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures.
• Checking for proper guarding of all machinery in departments daily.
• Look for any visible wear or defects on machinery daily.
• Checking for proper oil level & proper lubrication of all machines.
• Maintaining all machinery and repairing machinery promptly. Must provide the necessary tools and instruments to independently perform any tasks at hand.
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards, making sure maintenance staff does the same.
• Adhering to all safety policies, including proper LOTO procedures, making sure maintenance staff does the same.

Requirements
