Description

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the company’s buildings, facilities, and equipment in an operating and functional condition. Performs a variety of skilled maintenance activities to maintain the condition and appearance of facility buildings and systems in accordance with established standards. Under limited supervision, ensures that maintenance practices comply with safety and regulatory requirements.

Department: Maintenance

Location: Elizabethton, TN

Compensation: $25.00 / hour

Essential Functions:

• Electrical repairs or installations
• Fleet vehicle repairs
• Plumbing
• Welding
• Carpentry, painting, and plastering
• Masonry
• Machine servicing
• General mechanical maintenance (e.g., HVAC and sheet metal)
• Operate equipment
• Perform checks and minor repairs of fire alarm and security systems
• Perform repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, and equipment
• Troubleshoot and maintain facility systems
• Work based on dispatched service or scheduled tasks
• Review work to document needs (materials, supplies)
• Assist in moving furniture, materials, and equipment
• Follow safety procedures
• Oversee subcontractor activities as directed
• Respond to emergencies after hours
• Potential travel 30%-40%
