Job summary

Omaha Scheels in Omaha, NE is seeking a Warehouse Associate to organize backroom spaces, coordinate freight, and support a fast-paced retail operations team. The role focuses on backroom organization, loading assistance, and inventory updates to ensure smooth store functions.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and be able to lift heavy loads, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and customer service in a dynamic environment at Scheels.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, 1–3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks.
• Warehouse or backroom experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team player capable of supporting multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Organize, manage, and clean backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
• Coordinate scheduling and transport of freight/fixtures to departments and off-site warehouse.
• Maintain freight room/drop zone organization with receiving team.
• Plan for large seasonal shipments while maintaining year-round freight flow.
• Assist customers and sales staff with loading purchased products.
• Maintain orderly appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including off-site warehouses.
• Be knowledgeable of equipment and tools and how to use them safely.
• Assist in snow and debris removal around the building.
• Update warehouse inventory; ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Support in other duties assigned by leadership.
