Job summary

SCHEELS in Omaha, NE is seeking a backroom associate to organize backroom spaces and manage fixture storage. You will coordinate with departments, assist with freight, and help customers load products while maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with 1–3 months of related experience. Heavy lifting is required; strong teamwork is essential, and ESOP and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
• One to three months of related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
• Coordinate scheduling and communicate with all levels before transporting freight/fixtures to departments or off-site warehouse.
• Maintain organized freight room and drop-zone with receiving team.
• Plan for large seasonal shipments and maintain year-round freight flow.
• Assist customers and salespeople with retrieving and loading purchased products.
• Keep personal workspace and surrounding areas orderly, including off-site warehouses.
• Know how to use all equipment and tools properly.
• Assist in snow/debris removal from walkways, rooftops, and landscaping.
• Update warehouse inventory.
• Communicate clearly and professionally; demonstrate good presentation skills.
• Collaborate with teammates and cover absences as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
